EU Students

Welcome to my brand new school set up for EU students.

Why did I need a new school?  The EU has different tax regulations and so my courses in this school include tax.

My courses are provided via the user friendly Teachable platform and

include subtitles in your chosen language.

Note: I also have a course for framing your artwork.  It will follow shortly.

New courses are planned for 2026.

Mirrix Looms

Let me introduce you to Katrien at Mirrix EU.  The exclusive Mirrix dealer based in Belgium.

Katrien and I will work closely together to help you on your journey.  We all have different tastes and budgets but we can help guide you in your choice of loom.

I have used Mirrix looms for many years now and they are strong and reliable.  They are my loom of choice as I like to work on a small scale.  They also travel with me.

In my classes you would want to work on an 8 dent loom. This means you select the 8 dent comb when ordering.

We only need to work at a 5" width in my classes (as a lot of students had the Saffron loom - which is now discontinued) but you also might want to invest in an 8" loom if you plan on working on a slightly larger scale after the lessons.  Both looms are great choices.

What Students Are Saying

Liz Whiteside's Beginner Online Tapestry Classes were just what I needed to unlock my tapestry journey.  I had been taking a few online courses but it just wasn't clicking.  Liz starts from the very beginning using clear, calm and inspiring instructions.  It's like sitting with a friend who is supportively helping you understand each step.  I can easily go back to the online classes if I have forgotten a step or need to solve my error.  Now I am learning from my mistakes rather than being left in the dark.  I am looking forward to Liz's Artful Threads program, but in the meantime I am building my skills and have found the joy of learning tapestry weaving!  Thank you Liz!
