I’m an artist based at Bbox Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne, where I’ve been working professionally for the past 6 years. My practice has evolved from painting on canvas to painting on the loom — a wonderful and rewarding transition.

My studio is part of a vibrant community of makers, who open their doors twice a year for the Ouseburn Open Studios creative trail.

My work is intuitive and exploratory, focusing on small-scale, intricate tapestries that push the boundaries of what can be achieved within a limited space. I love designing my own images (known as cartoons in tapestry) and am currently inspired by seascapes, landscapes, and — most recently — portraiture. My practice is always evolving, and I enjoy introducing a sense of play through experimental 3D tapestry work.

In 2024, I began teaching tapestry — first through in-person workshops and then online. This has been an exciting new chapter in my artistic journey, allowing me to connect with students from around the world. Through my teaching, I aim to share the beauty and calm that comes from the practice of weaving — a mindful, meditative art form that continues to inspire me every day.
