'Bluebell Cottage’ is a cute little scene where I wove the tapestry 'side on' so I could achieve lovely vertical trees. It's a fun method to weave.
It was designed and woven on my 12” Mirrix Chloe Loom using pure wool in a fringeless weave. That means there is no warp fringe. I used 5 fine threads of wool on my needle to enable colour blending.
Size : The textile image is 5.5” x 5.5". The wall mounted white frame is 11” h x 11.5” w x 1.25” depth (or 28 cm x 30cm x 3 cm)
The tapestry has been carefully hand sewn and mounted onto cotton board. It is purposefully left without any glass over it.
Care - a gentle dust of the frame occasionally. Note: do not place tapestries in a kitchen or bathroom.
