'Safe Harbour' - I loved creating this piece for Alnmouth Arts Festival in June 2026.  I used fine wool yarns but added silk in the water reflections for that shimmer.

'Yin and Yang' - my most complex piece to date.  I used wool and silks to really highlight certain areas.  I worked on single warp strands in several areas to really get that detail. 

This is one of four in my Limited Edition 'Unmapped' series.  I worked purely freestyle on them, simply making up each colour choice and row as I went.  It's so refreshing to do that sometimes. 

This was a new weft challenge for me.  I had a limited amount of hand dyed Weavers Bazaar silks.  I looked at the colours and came up with this design.  As I worked towards the top I was running out of blue and so created this more dramatic sky.  A challenge can have a wonderful result.

My first attempt at a portrait (I used to be a portrait artist so I had to try with yarn).  I love how I started with greys on the neck and as I moved up the yarn I learned to mix the shadow work differently. My favourite part? The eyes!!  I can't wait to do more.  

I had been showing students how to work 'side on' with tapestry when the design makes it necessary.  I wanted to have some fun myself and this little cute artwork was created.  

I adore sunset scenes and houses so created this happy little image with pure wool. 

This was when I realised how much I loved reflective work.  I also added in the complexity of creating it as a four selvedge piece of work (no warp threads left to sew in) which means careful planning of the design.
