'An Island of its Own’ is a one of a kind framed mini tapestry artwork for sale.  This is a gorgeous blend of blues, turquoises and greens to show a truly happy and calm place. It’s a piece of work that is truly bringing my art and yarn together for the first time.  
 
I have used a braided finish with the artwork - leaving little plaits top and bottom.  
It was designed and woven on my Mirrix 12” loom using pure wool.  I’ve used a mixture of 4 fine yarns. 
 
Size : The textile image is 5 x 6". The wall mounted white frame is 11” w x 11.5” h x 1.25” depth (or 28 cm x 30cm x 3 cm)
 
The tapestry has been carefully hand sewn and mounted onto cotton board.  It is purposefully left without any glass over it.  
 
Care - a gentle dust of the frame occasionally.  Note:  do not place tapestries in a kitchen or bathroom.
