What to expect

Current dates: 20 September and 15 November ______ This brand new class focuses on learning to colour blend. We do that by using multiple strands of fine yarn on our tapestry needle. I will show you how to create a beautiful gradient effect or work with multiple colours. You can either freestyle or we will look at designing an artwork together. If you have taken my beginner's workshop or have weaving experience then this is a perfect class for you. Looms - I will have a variety of looms you can choose to work on: Mirrix (specialist metal looms from the US): 5" Saffron pocket loom, 5" and 8" Chloe looms 12" Tall Loom Wooden Looms: basic frame loom (I'll show you how I made it) Tools - I will supply the tapestry needles/yarn for the class. I can advise on where to purchase from if you'd like to continue your journey. You could also bring to future workshops. Class details: After an initial introduction, I will help you design a piece on a loom of your choice or you can just play and freestyle. I just want you to have fun!!! We will use my selection of fine tapestry yarns. Coffee/drinks will be provided throughout the day. There are cafes nearby, but feel free to bring a packed lunch too! There will be a maximum of four participants to allow some 1-1 tutorial time.
