What to expect

*Important * - to choose a date click on Book Now and select the date with green dots on them. ______ In this class we move onto using fine tapestry yarns. I can show you the wonderful effect of colour blending using multiple yarns on our needle. Once mastered you can literally learn to paint on the loom. It can be used in any style of tapestry whether working with realistic imagery or more abstract. If you have taken my beginner's workshop or have weaving experience then this is a perfect class for you. We can chat just about what is achievable on a pocket loom and I can show you all my work from my on-line Artful Threads course. I will guide each of you in whatever you would like to learn on the day - to help progress your personal journeys. Looms - I will have a variety of looms you can choose to work on: Mirrix (specialist metal looms from the US): 5" Saffron pocket loom, 5" and 8" Chloe looms 12" Tall Loom Tools - I will supply the tapestry needles/yarn for the class. I can advise on where to purchase from if you'd like to continue your journey. You could also bring to future workshops. Class details: After an initial introduction, I will help you design a piece on a loom of your choice or you can just play and freestyle. I just want you to have fun!!! We will use my selection of fine tapestry yarns. Coffee/drinks will be provided throughout the day. There are cafes nearby, but feel free to bring a packed lunch too! There will be a maximum of four participants to allow some 1-1 tutorial time.
