This is a truly unique tapestry piece which I made purposefully for a larger cosmetic/toiletry bag - or for any other purpose you choose.
 
This piece was created on a wooden frame loom using the tapestry method of weaving. It’s a longer process but you can create different shapes and play a bit more with the design. I used West Yorkshire Spinners Shetland wool in a gentle colour range of blues, tan and cream.
 
The tapestry was taken off the loom and a fusible fleece was ironed on to create a stable fabric. I lined it with a natural coloured waterproof material so that it can be cleaned more easily.
 
This would be a perfect gift for that special someone. As this item took a long time to make it is reflected in the price.
 
Note: the back is pale blue pure linen fabric.
